any one know about the brake pedal having something to do with the unlock crap on converter well thats when it happened i preessed brakes to many times now im at this **** its pissing me off so dam bad im about to drive it off a ****ING CLIFE

Try putting the trans in any gear but overdrive and see what happens.

well popped it into 3rd manualy at 55MPH and it stopped but about 18 min of drivving it started to do the same thing again but the gas responce was the way it use to be when i first got the car like no delay at all but in OD i have to press it in hard to get it to go lol...so what do you think (camaro 69)

edit ===one other thing once i start cold in the morning it runs fine in all gears for about 7 min then it will drop rpms and do all this crap BUT IF i drop it into a lower gear and have to stop at a light its fineeven in OD then when the light turns green and i start to go and tranny shifts at really low rpms and i have to let off gas and press brakes it tries to shut off like boooahhh booahh then revs back up ....kinda like when driving a manual your in 2nd gear and before you get enough speed and shift into 3RD it tries to bog on you that is what mine is doing but does it some times in 1st so when i first start off i keep it in 1st for a few till i get enough speed.....but once it shifts into 2ND and i let off the gas to slow down it bogs like what i said above with a manual tranny..

its like it aint got no power after this till i tap the gas more then half throttle then it down shifts or it might unlock the converter cause i can hold the brake peddle in a long tme without engaging the brakes and it unlocks the converter then it drives fine ???? you can feel it unlock cause your body will be torqued to the seat at cruise speed but now its like your body is tring to go faster then the car like you are leaning forward lol a dam 4 banger can beat me till i hit 3rd but it use to be like a dam corvette couldnt touch me lol

when im at a store that is like 10 feet from a red light and my car shifts to 2nd as soon as i lett off the gas i have to floor it real quick to keep the rpms from going down to shut off point ..if i keep it in 1st manually and do the same thing without shifting it tries to do the same thing as soon as i take off slow like my TQ is locking up AS soon as i start to go ???????

in the morning it goes roar roar roar roar roar roar roar roar roar roar but after rpms drop it only goes like ........................roar ...................roar ...................roar when it tries to shut off that is the best i can explain if anyone in here is from NC close to durham ill let you drive it and will pay you to i swear i want this $hit fixed..im in roxboro timberlake 5 miles from durham

well the popping noise is happening more but this time i was pulling out of autozone and it wouldnt even respond hardly so i give it some throttle and it didnt do a thing just tried to shut off so i kept pushing the gas peddle in and out and it finally started to run right..... but if i go start it now it will idle between 600 rpms and 1000rpms and tries to shut off till i let give it gas and i have to ride around with my foot on the gas even at a light .....what could this be

edit= when you test the fuel pressure while the engine is running but then you turn the car off is there still suppose to be pressure cause mine drops to 0 psi from 34psi at idle???

edit= could it be a really bad EGR valve?? because i was just reading alot of stuff and symptoms of a bad egr valve about hesitation and shutter and bad idle and bad throttle responce..what do you guys thing ? just like you try to fill a jet engine with regular gas and it starts to bog and finally shuts off well thats my engine... im tired of filling up every day just to go 50 miles then 50 back thats only 100 miles on a full tank wtf

The pressure drops like almost instantly? It should hold for a while. If it's dropping, you have either a leak in the system, or your fuel injector(s) are leaking. If you have one or more that's not closing off completely, that could explain your pig-rich situation. A bad egr valve (located on the back of the intake manifold) could have something to do with the engine running crappy too, but that's separate from the fuel issue. Running as rich as it is, I'm really surprised your SES light hasn't gone on, or that you don't have a stored error code. When you pull the vacuum hose off the fuel pressure regulator, is there any gas inside, or does it have a strong gas smell?

no the pressure is not suposed to do that. definatly more than one issue.

nope no gas or smell at all ..it runs fine first thing in the morning but after it warms to about 190 it start to act up
