Fuel pump problem 98 camaro 3.8
Ok here is what happened..fuel pump went out...took the easy way and cut a access hole in trunk to access fuel pump...took pump out replaced with new one and new strainer...just the pump not the whole assembly. Put pump back in and started it up ran like 20 mins...shut it off and done some more work to the engine...turned the key to start it back again and the fuel pump sounded weird...so i took it back out and one of the rubber fuel hoses had slipped off and was not getting fuel...so i clamped the fuel hose back on and reinstalled the fuel pump and now when you turn the key on nothing from the fuel pump. I check the fuses there all good..swapped the relay with the ac comp. Relay and the relay is good..taking in consideration there is only one relay i know about which is in one of the 2 fuses boxes under the hood let me know someone if there is another relay...got my test light and check the wire that connects to the pump and there is no fire...checked all the wires going to the pump and no fire..there is some kind of pressure sensor on top of the sending unit that has three wires going to it..checked all three and one has fire but the voltage is very low. Please someone help me out and what to do next...thanks for your time..

You do realize that the computer only turns on the fuel pump for about 3 seconds everytime you cycle the key? Once the computer reads oil pressure it kick the pump back on. So any testing needs to be done within 3 seconds of the key turning on.
If the fuel pump starved for fuel for any amount of time it may have overheated. The fuel passing thru the pump cools it. It pretty common for a car the has run out of gas to have the fuel pmp fail. Most people just assume its dirt that causes the failure but it is most likely the pump overheated.

here is where the fuel pump relay is.

there is a test wire for the fuel pump under the hood on the passenger side. you can jump a hot wire to that to make sure the fuel pump is working.

now i noticed you have a 98. i am not so sure if its the same as what is in the links i gave. in any case you will need to track where the power is stopping. you might try unhooking the battery to see if that will reset something.
LEmme think here. You had a working new fuel pump and after it popped the hose off you got back into the tank and tinkered with it again, put it all back together and now it does not work... so you are going to mess with the relays which you didnt mess with before, but now they may be the problem, but you only took the fuel pump out to reconnect the hose. Do I understand this all correctly.
Now if this were me, and I know it is not me, I would not try to mess with part of the car I have not messed with but look at the part I did mess with to make sure I didnt mess it up. Check the wires attaching to the fuel pump to make sure they didnt come off, check the plug at the top of the tank, things like that, that were messed with when you pulled everything.
