Replacing upper heater hose to water pump
I have a 96 Camaro with the 3.8 V6. My son was driving it home last night. He made it home, but antifreeze was every where on the passener side of the engine. Looked at the upper heater hose that is suppose to be attached to the water pump. The cap end was barely hanging on. Lost all of the antifreeze. Where can I find a new cap/clamp fitting that the heater hose goes on to the water pump? I called the local Chevy dealer. You can't buy just one hose. Have to buy both heater hoses at $165.00! And they don't have it in stock. Is there any way you can take off the cap/clamp and use a regular clamp to put the upper heater hose onto the water pump? I tried the local parts stores. All they have is the hose no clamps. Thanks, gearyr.
