ok quick ?? i have 89 rs 5.0 but the heater aint blowin hot air i have replaced therm. and flushed heater core but when we rebuilt motor i replaced the heater control valve . i know the curved hose goes on the side port but was wondering which hole the hose coming out the firewall at the top goes to the top or bottom of the valve. i have looked through the hanses manual and find anything on it was hoping someone might be able to tell me

My 91 has 3 hoses on the valve. Two hoses side by side, top hose (close to the big round end) goes down to a pipe that T's and heads to the radiator and the other end to the heater core. The lower hose goes right to the heater core. The last hose by itself on the valve goes into a fitting on the intake manifold.

Have you checked to see if the heater core hoses get hot? Maybe the blend air door cable is broke or popped off. There is a red retainer that likes to break and allow the housing to move.

 

thanks i think that what i did was got those hose's backwards i have the hose from the top of the heater core goin to the top spot on the control valve . gonna change it tomm and see if that takes care of it
