Default Q: Would heater hose fit

I'm looking for a hose that supposedly its very expensive and rare to find. Its one that is attached to a plastic link and I think its what goes in to the heater core.

is there any substitution for the plastic clamp and just use a hose with a metal one or does it have to be that

my 93 just has hose clamps on it for the heater core hoses. yours doesnt look anything like mine though. i was hoping one of the guys with a newer 6 would come back to ya. if all else fails i would go to the local dealer parts dept. and ask to look at there parts illustration book or cd to make sure what its for. if its just the hose u could always get a couple double ended hose bibs and put a new piece in and bib it in on the ends

The hose is fine not broken but the plastic white clamp held the hose in place and it broke and im holding the hose in place right now with a tie rap. But i know its not working very well because you can squeeze the hose easy and under pressure that shouldnt happen. At the dealer its worth 300 because they didnt have it in stock. I found one on ebay for 160. Im wondering if other guys have the same plastic clamp on or if you have something different that works as well.

oh boy one of the, got ya by the ba[[s deals huh. i dont know about the pressure, coolant is 10 to 15 lbs i think so its not that much. the only time u might have trouble is when it gets hot or close to boiling over. better stock up on zip ties.
