my camaro is a '98 with the 3800 3.8l v6 and the water pump needs replaced. is this something that i can do myself and if so what's involved? let me know. thanks.

Easy as pie. Loosen (don't remove) bolts on water pump pulley, remove belt, remove bolts and pulley, remove water pump bolts, replace gasket, replace pump and reinstall bolts, install pulley and bolts, reinstall belt, tighten pulley bolts, replace coolant as necessary.
