when i go to start my car the tach guage will jump all around then land at zero,(car has strarted) then about a secound later the car will shut off. pleas help me.

 

Welcome aboard! I had an issue where my car will be fouling going crazy,gauges jumping everywhere from time to time and wouldnt go past certain rpm's. I did AN almost complete tune up which means air/fuel filters,plugs,wires,cleaning maf sensor and oil. Got a little better but same cheez. I then noticed a crack on a coil pack,changed it and still same fouling. Then I decided and said screw it I can't cheap out here, so I bought the two remaining coil packs and guess what? That **** cranked up strong as hell and felt stronger than before.

Hows your air filter? Is it dirty? change it theyre cheap.Clean the maf sensor with the 7 dollar red bottle they sell at any autplace.See if that helps. After that just check your fuel filter,analyze it and decide whether you think its a good time to change it,theyre less than 20 bucks.If problem persists then take it to autozone and run codes. If you get multiple cylinder misfires,then i'd reccomend changing from the plugs to the coil packs.Start by plugs(They have to be Ac Delco Irodium for optimum oe performance,theyre $7,that surpriseed me lol.)till you change the coil packs.Problem should go away,so if you ain't too tight on money kill it all at the same time and your problem most likely will be gone once in for all with only one trip to the autoplace.Pepboys has better prices and stocking than autozone/Discount Imo.So just use the others for reading codes and thats it.
