i have sucessfully changed a 3.8 engine for the first time with little help (not starting on that subject) and no major problems other than frying a coil pack it is kinda rough on first gear though, but smooths out on second..... which i dont know why since it worked fine before :/

 

cool,,,, what no picures... re re check all your connections. could be a bad connection or a missed wire.
