i have a 94 z28 lt1 with 97000 miles .if i drive it for a while car starts clicking under it ,it idles to 2000 rpm ,SES light comes,starts choking , and then shuts off .after that it wont start for a couple mins and then starts back up again normally.once i get to a stop car starts clicking again and does the same thing again and again.at first when i put pressure to the fuse panel the car used to shut off so i took it out and reconnected one of the cables that was causing the problem and it stopped doing it for that whole day and then started doing it again next day so im thinking its got something to do with the fuse box panel.by the way its not the gm fuse box panel ,looks like the person that had it before me replaced it .also been told it could be the ecm comp.i really appreciate any suggestions.

 

first thing i would get the computer scanned,that can help us out and give you somewhere to start

 

I would try to contact the owner and find out everything electrical that he had done to the car.

 

do what saint said. when the ses light came on it should have recorded the problem in the computer as a trouble code. that code should tell u/us were to look. call your local shop and see if they can scan your computer for trouble codes. just a note, if u disconnect the battery the computer clears all the trouble codes.
