1996 Camaro Z28 Project Thread
So I screwed up...I took a look at the my Haynes manual to see if there were torque specs on the rockers, and I found that it says to make sure you put the pushrods and rockers in their original places...yeah, didn't do that. How, well, screwed am I? How can I make sure each pushrod and rocker is in its proper place?
That is AMAZING!!
Pork ribs for 2.99/lb. lol

yep your scewed,,, lol, its best to put the pushrods back to where they came from, they wont like being in a different home. its not going to ruin the rockers or rods right away but can cause then to wear quickly. yes you will need to reset the rockers, both before and after starting.
haha thanks. Throttle body is getting the same treatment tonight.
I've had people on other sites tell me that it doesn't make a difference. I looked at pushrod sets, and from the looks of it they're all the same length, and all the rockers are the same ratio as well. And yes, I now understand that I have to do the valve adjustment. It's not nearly as complicated as I originally thought.
So if I do indeed need to put them all back in their original places, how do I go about figuring out where they should be?

Disaster.
Tonight I was working on putting fittings back into the intake manifold while watching the Olympics. Then this happened:

I'm in a state of disbelief right now. I can't believe that happened...and I have no idea how the heck I'm supposed to be able to fix it...

right you cant get them back in the same place. i would at least try to get em in right side up. look for stains or wear that looks like it belongs up or down. in 10k miles maybe have a look at em to see how they are doing. could be fine could be not. maybe in 6 months you will want new pushrods,,, and 1.6 rollers.
can you get a easyout on that pipe to get it out.

I think I put the correct ends in first on the pushrods. And I was actually thinking about getting 1.6rr's, but decided against it largely because it would require changing valve springs as well. And what do you mean by an "easyout?" It's not a pipe, it's a threaded fitting.
its broke off inside there right? at least thats what it looks like from the picture. ez out,,, ill be right back. ok this style works best for me on pipe http://www.tooltopia.com/atd-tools-3...aign=nextag_r1 should have em at a hardware
