So I've got some photos to show some of what I've done to the car most recently. First, pics from that accursed LS1 brake swap.

First, the bolt that just wouldn't come out:

The paint booth:

The old hardware:

The new hardware:

Also, I put the stock springs back in the back, I just thought the rear end sat too low with the Summit springs. So, here's the new stance:

I think it has a bit too much of a rake to it...what do you think of trimming some off the rear springs?

Also, the body damage got repaired:

And I used some of the insurance money to get a new OEM front bumper:

so instead of cutting the rear springs, I removed the rubber seats that go on top of the rear springs and replaced them with heater hose on the spring (the "heater hose mod"). Too dark for pics tonight, I'll have a pic tomorrow when it's light.

I'm very pleased, I think it looks great. Can't wait to get rims and tint

Sadly, that will all have to wait. Here is the car as it shall sit until I'm back from school in May:

Where did you get the stickers for your calipers?

you can take the spring isolator out and put some thick hose on the spring, give you an idea of what it would look like lowered about 3/4 inch or so and you can undo it.

So while procrastinating today, I found there's a guy that is experienced tuning LTx engines near my hometown in WI. I originally wasn't going to do a tune yet, but with this being so close, I'm really tempted. My car's pushing 150k and has a bad lifter that I haven't fixed. Do you guys think it's worth getting a tune done? My plans for the month between graduation and starting work are currently rims/tires and a couple minor aesthetic mods.

Also, thoughts on these tires?

I've been told they're rather loud, but hook well, look good, and ride nice for the price.

So I've got good news and bad news.

The good news: I just ordered new rims!
The bad news: They won't be on the car until I get back home in May
