You can use fishing line, it will eat into the molding though. Better thing is floss, but it breaks easy. Be really careful when starting on the ends as thats were paint is more likely to come up from the car. There's a rubber wheel you can get from an autobody shop that's made to take off tape residue, really cheap and works really good and fast. I would suggest picking up on of those.
