Are you gonna keep it to yourself, or share it with the rest of the class?

my new problem is that fuel will not go thru the injectors of the tpi system. i cleaned the fuel tank, installed a new fuel pump, in tank, replaced fuel pump relay, and still no fuel to the injectors. if i spray injector cleaner into the throttle body, it starts for a second, then nothing. do you have any other suggestions that could cause this problem. thanks

Got spark? Check your ignition module regaurdless. Thats where the injectors will get a signal to fire. Also have you checked for an injector pulse? One wire will be power and the other will be a pulse/ ground signal.

the ignition has spark, the injectors do not squirt. how do you test the injectors wiring, or for the pulse. if you change the ignition switch, does the original key code affect the new set of keys when you cut the new key with the chip. a dealer told me the key code must match the ecu or the engine won't start. it thinks someone is trying to steal the car. it this true.

I finally had to replce my passkey lock cylinder. What mine did was it would not crank the engine. Is your security light on? The VATS will cut off the fuel pump while cranking and starter.

To check for injector pulse, unplug and injector and with the key on probe the plug for power. Find which one is the power then hook your test light to the + of the battery and while some one is cranking probe the other wire and watch for the light to pulse. A noid light works best but a test light is fine in a pinch.

my car cranks the engine and it has spark. i wasn't aware of the vats system or passkey cylinder. does the ecu control both. maybe the ecu is bad.

The passkey and vats are in the same system. If its cranking then it most likely is working. Have you checked for fuel pressure while cranking? You know you have spark so check for pressure while cranking and pulse to the injectors then you can pretty much elimate a fuel system problem.

o.k. i bet the fuel pressure regulator is weak or bad. i believe it is located on the rear of the fuel rail and you only replace the diaphram. i will check the fuel pressure. thanks.
