I do enjoy a good street light derby.

I am really starting to like the Rustolem paint. I went and got a quart of Safety Red. I used it to repaint the red on my coils springs. Its a real bright red. I tried acetone to thin it as well. Its seamed to flow out of the gun better too. For suspention and under car its seams to be the ticket. I'll do pics when I reassemble the front end.

BB427...You are the Car I would not want to pull next to at the light........

I will be a High Powered Go Kart when done, but my HP won't increase more than 10% or about 40hp...So maybe 420 hp or so ??? RAN 102 @13.8 20 years ago with many traction problems. Looking for about 5mph or so and a half second off....With 3.73 and that HP, that may be it , but I am obviously going for Braking and Handling.....

Ha Ha...77 Nomad .I am always ready for a stop light Derby, but that doesn't mean I will win them all.....

Let me see pictures after you do the painting...

I'm trying. School work is starting to mount. I have a 10 page paper due next week and I haven't settled on a topic.

Progress! I got the subframe reassembled. Then started painting various stuff. I shot the bottom too. Sorry for the semi blurry pics. My digital camera took a dump and I used my video camera. Even perfectly still shots come out blurry. It usually takes 3-4 try's to get a good one.

I took the steering linkage to work and polished all the parting lines and pits out. It made for a very smooth surface to paint.

I also painted the header panel that goes under the nose. Its fiberglass and didn't need to be painted, BUT when I disassemble this thing the itchy scratchy was almost unbearable. So I figure the paint will encapsulate the glass so I can put it back together without scratching my skin off.

Tomorrow the firewall gets its final sanding and a coat of paint. Then the frame will go back on for the last time.

Well I got the subframe assembled. Then took care of my firwall. Still need to sand that down. I hope I can get it back on all fours by next weekend.
