So here it goes, my project thread (2nd gen)
That was my goal. if I ever have to get rid of it and it gets torn apart. Who ever does it will go damn, this guy was good. Plus if I have to sell at any point in the build it helps to have my a game at any moment.
I appreciate the comments. I am still scare chit less to spray the color. The silver I chose has so much flake I'm scared I'll tiger stripe it.
The primer is SPI (Southern Polyurethane Inc.) balckepoxy. Also available in white and grey, they all dry to a satin finish. That makes blocking SO much easier. The low spots stay glossy. It literally bonds to 80g like powdercoat. I did alot of reading before settling on it. I can and probably will shoot the body again and drive it in primer for a bit. That seams to be the current rage anyhow. The SPI dries to a perfect satin IMHO. It also has a UV protectant so it can be left alone.

2011 Camaro / Pontiac Trans Am Z/TA ( 1st in Western Canada ) - Medicine Hat Cars For Sale - Kijiji Medicine Hat Canada.
That's pretty sweet looking! Seems a little too "correct" for GM to actually make. They hyped up the 2014 Z car so much and all they did was change the tail lights and front grill a little bit. Wonder how many people needed a cold shower after that unveil? Of all the fan renderings I've seen though, I do like the one you posted the best! I myself am still holding out for when GM brings back the Chevelle. It's being discussed, for real.
I agree and have thought that myself. They all are reviving the old name plates. Waiting on the Galaxy 500 from Ford. The Dart is a hit even though it was a POS in its day.
Uncle Bob I know of the T/A versions of the new cars. I have seen them in person and have talked with the guy who made the gauges for their SEMA car. There are three versions of the Pontiac conversion.
The car I posted needs the pointy nose I love so much. A late second gen conversion would be great. With the 78-79 hood scoop.

Seems the thing now (especially with Dodge) to bring back old monikers, but with a few exceptions, most don't resemble the originals. The Challenger is a good update, but the other Dodges are just a name. I'd hate to see the Chevelle name brought back, and not be something as great looking at they were in the 60's and very early 70's.
In total honesty, I hope GM doesn't bring back any more classics and bastardize them like they did the Nova. While I agree with your statement about Dodge, I'm not too concerned about what they do as I'd never, ever own one anyway. Seems like there's no imagination left in the automotive (and toy) industries anymore. Gotta resurrect all the old stuff as no one can come up with anything new and exciting. Just wish they would actually take some cues from fans/customers and do them right if they are bringing them back.
