Thanks, the engine bay is really clean, it was alot of fun. lol. I'm not really liking the all black look though. I'll probably end up detailing some things. Probably paint the vacuum pump and master cylinder. Then I need all new brake stuff so the new lines and things will dress things up.

Some chrome does make a difference. I have the chrome support bars and radiator cover. Just the right amount. I went a little crazy with black paint myself. It really did need something under there. Im also thinking of putting some sort of decal on the air cleaner.

I could also get a new bolt kit too. I'll work out a bit of flash on the engine once it goes in. I've got that Spectre Intake system, so I'm sure that will be more than enough on it's own to dress things up. Now for an engine...

Gotta love the sand. I still find pockets of sand in the 78 after 12 years.

That is what I am afraid of. The sand is something else. I just hope that once everything is together it isn't a big deal. But I'm sure it is all up in the roof and everything.

I painted my master and booster hammerite dark silver. I took out most of the core support and brace bolts and replaced them with stainless button head allens. Just a few minor changes to dress it a bit.

I've seen pics of those screws you put under the hood. I do like them, I'll probably end up doing something like that eventually, easy enough to swap out once it is together and running I suppose.

Finished painting all the interior panes today, and when I went into the attic to grab the package tray insert, I found the Y trim pieces... I'm sure that isn't over yet, finding things that I've misplaced during the teardown. I put the carpet in, package tray, all of the trim except for the front and rear headliner holders. My front one appears to maybe not fit. Are there different screw patterns. Or, is there something that fits into a slot that the screw goes into? Because that is what the screws seem to line up with, a slot...

I'm hoping that tomorrow I can get my FIL over and have him help me toss the doors back on the car so I can get the door panels on and see what I need to rebuild on them to get them to look nice. They look like they will need the cardboard backing redone, I'll probably get me some masonite and trace them out. I also need to either get a headliner, or a board to trace, I've got material for one, so I could make it.

Thank you. I've got a used Grant Steering wheel coming at me to replace the tan one so that will be another step closer. I'm also going to have to call in a favor for the sound system wiring here soon and get that out of the way.
