Yeah, when I chose the name I did a Google search first to try and see if any old drag cars used it, and found that VW too. Just didn't want to pick something that was already used on an old Austin, Anglia, or similar gasser.

Got the blocking done today, and removed all the door panels and window trim. Started cleaning and sanding the jams, so they'll be ready to shoot paint on.

wow val looking good u did an awesome job of block sanding if u ask me,ur hard work will show once its painted it will all be worth it in the end.

Thanks guys! Thinkin a red something like I showed in post #242, like Big John's Austin. Kinda like the late model Dodge red I see in the last couple years. I think they call it "flame red"?

Thanks! It's pretty glassy smooth now, so hope the painter likes it and doesn't estimate it too high!

val thats gonna look awesome that color one of my favorites,my 87 irocz was flame red,kind of like a candy apple red.its gonna be sweet when ur done.
