well i got the starting issue fixed... and now its f****d again story of my life, i fix one thing and another breaks. now i have coolant pouring out the bottom of my header (theres about 30 min of run time on the new head gasket) im pretty sure its the stupid *** open deck block. why in the world would someone design an engine where the cylinders arnt connected to the block at the top?

So, what, are you thinking the tops of the cylinder walls are walking on you?
Are there no inter-locking ridges on the head?

no no locks its really such a dumb design. i dont really know whats going on but that looks to be the only way water will get in the exhaust.

nope havent seen that. i was thinking about getting one of these and having it welded into the block but damn that looks a lot easier and cheaper.

so now im thinking do i pull the head and check it out... or do i put full coverage on it and push it into traffic

I have categorized folders in my bookmarks!
Well then, if you're looking to go cheap, pick up some composite construction shims at Home Dopey and wedge em in there!
