Do they make laminated/composite head gaskets for your engine, or does that aluminum boat anchor favor the steel ones?

Just ordered a re ring kit, 145$. I'm pulling the engine this weekend and sending her off to the machine shop, 150$ to deck the block head and hone the cylinders.

What did you decide to do about a block filler?

I think I'm going to do what you posted, it'll be easier and cheaper.

So I ordered some parts today. I got new lost motion springs, new valve cover studs (I was missing 3 and had some ghetto bolt setup) and a new knock sensor (mine was missing).

As for the car, the engines ready to pull. I have to get the hoist and stand from work tomorrow, than just pull 3 bolts and lift her out.

Ohh I also ordered a set of 345cc OBD1 injectors
