'63 Falcon project
I hope not! Gotta get back and start rolling paint on the new bathroom!
Got up early and drove to my friend's father's place to pull the 454 out. Took a couple of old guys (62 and 70) about three hours to pull the engine and trans and split the trans off. Got all sorts of bolts, radiator, fan shroud, etc. for whatever might come up needed.
Not much to look at now, but hopefully will be when all the goodies are on it!

Was at a friend's house today putting brake lines in his '35 Plymoth coupe with BBC, and he gave me a stick bellhousing for the project! I'll use it for now, and if I find a deal on a scattershield later, I'll swap it out then.
Unloading the 454 from the trailer today, and finally moving the Falcon home from the neighbor's house! Went and measured it up, to see how it fits the canopy out back, and it seems huge compared to the tiny Austin! 16' long, so not a lot of extra working space around it, like the little 12' long Austin had! Somehow I thought they were much closer in size.
I'll probably end up doing a lot of work in the frontend area with the tail hanging outsiide the canopy, which will limit some cold weather work. But it's going to get done, just not in any quick time frame, like the Austin did.

We got the Falcon home, and pushed into the backyard. I had a little time, and the shop vac was handy, so started cleaning out the interior. Found a mouse nest on the rear floor and also under the backseat. It was so big it filled the 5 gal. vac and had to stop and dump it. Stinky too! I'll have to rip out all the carpet and interior, then clean and seal the floors. If I don't seal the floors I'll never get rid of the mouse smell on a hot day!
Really tight fit in the canopy, so I need to do some rearranging and move everything I don't need to one of my storage sheds. Also got a call from the parts store today, and my clutch kit came in! New 11" clutch, pressure plate, throwout bearing, and pilot bushing. So ready for the neighbor's flywheel when he gets the engine out.
The oldest is coming in tonight with the boys, so my older grandson and I will hit the wrecking yards tomorrow to find parts for his 4runner, and then head to the basketball tournament for his brother's team.

Gorgeous day today! Went to pick up the parts in the Austin, and took the long way home!
My friends were looking out for me this weekend! I couldn't go to the swap meet, but they found me a pair of BBC old school Weiand finned valve covers! They're painted black, so I'll strip and polish them, then I'll repaint the finned recessed area black to match the engine color:
