You need to take it to the all ford show in Hillsboro when it's done. Man those guys get pissed when gramps and I go out there on either of his early fords since they both jab Chevys in them. One guy flat out started yelling me when I drove the pickup out there. It's quite comical

Man that's scootin. The old 33 ford pick up was in the high 7s back in the day with its old buggy rear suspension and street tires.

Since I wont have a high winding SBC, I'd like to run something around 3.50:1 rear gears with the 454. I ran 3.42's in the Camaro, and they were a really good choice for all around with a torque motor. Can't imagine using 3.73 like I have in the Austin, as I cruise at around 2600 at 60 mph.
