RE: want to buy a 93 camaro that needs a fuel pump i think
ok did the dam fuel pump only took 2.5 hours. but when i went to start the dam thing it will not start. i am sure that every thing got hooked up right. when i got the car the dam mass air flow sensor was not on the car i was wondering if that would make the car not send fuel to the injectors. i do have spark and have started the thing on starting fluid. any help would be great. Thanks again Tim

The 93's only use a MAP sensor, and do not use a MAP + MAF sensor combinationas the 94 & up cars. You need to find out what is going on with the pump. Does the pump run for a few seconds when you turn the ky on? Do you see voltage at the test connector when the key is first turned on? All these tests should have been done before changing the pump.

oh yeah i tested every thing before changing the pump. i even tested the old pump when i took it out.the pumpdose run when the key is first turned on. and i also check to make sure the fuel was getting up to the motor and it is. it dose not have an radio in it and dose have an after market alarm on it. that i do not have the button to turn it off just unpluged the fuse. the only think i can think of is the injectors are all bad but i would not think that all 8 of them would go bad at once. any suggestions???? Thanks again Tim

Check thetwo FI fuses. If they are OK, try to pick up a set of NOID lites, about $20 pet set, and see if the injectors are getting fired by the computer.

well just checked around and a set of NOID lites are not that easy to find have to get them from napa and its going to be 3 to 5 days. but i get a hold of a buddy of mine that works for chevy in the service dept. and told me that the key or the cyilinder for the key which has two wires on it may be bad. so had him check the key and it looks like the chip in the key might be bad so. i might have to get a new key or ask the guy i got it from if he has the second set. if that dose not work then NOID lites here i come lol. Thanks again Tim
