Rocker noise?
my gaskets are coming in today. I found where the gasket was blown out its right above the center two pistons on the passenger side. im just not excited about trying to get that header looses and sliping the gasket in. Another problem is that my exhaust is completely welded together... lol this is not gonna be fun....
Intermittent lifter noise is almost always the result of oil pressure problems. Make sure the oil pressure isn't dropping and that you have sufficient oil to for the oil pump to pick up and pump through the oil journals. Another possibility is that you may be "foaming" when the engine RPM goes too high. If you're pumping foamed oil, the lifters won't function properly. Foaming is partially caused by high RPM, but if the oil viscosity is too light, that too can contribute. If you're running a 5 W 15 oil, you might want to consider a slightly higher viscosity, but don't go too high. to prevent rocker noise.
