Rocker noise?

Default Rocker noise?

Im getting was seems to be a lot of rocker noise. I have 1.6 rockers and when i had the motor built he said they may be a little big for my valve covers. think that is what the problem is? if so what kinda problem will this cause and where could i get some good valve covers.

you can see if there hitting by taking off the covers and seeing if there are wear marks, and problems would probly be a little less hp cause there not opening all the way if they are hitting should just be 4 bolts on top

are they aluminum or steel? what brand name?

they are aluminum. i cant remember the name. my mechanic got them.

where can i get some bigger aftermarket valve covers to fix this?

ok scratch that. i looked down at my headers and smelt exhaust. I put my hand down there and could feel the exhaust shooting out. the gasket busted. I can see it. im gonna try to fix this asap. is this detrimental to the car. I just had the motor built not even 800 miles ago. it sounds like a knock though. do bad exhaust leaks sound like a know?

yeah that sounds like a header leak not uncommon a new set of gaskets and an sfeternoon will take care of it

Percy's Seal-4-Good header gaskets, I swear by them. Others, I swear at!

well i went to autozone and bought some of those seal 4 good gaskets. but I dont know if they are the right ones. the guy that gave them to me said that it will fit any just about any chevy small block. they are square holes and not d-shaped...
