i have eliminted pretty much ever other thing it could be....is there any cheep fix are do i need to take ti all apart and have it honed

if the oil rings are broke there is no quick fix. if its valve seals they can be done without too much trouble with an upright spring compressor. if the cylinder walls are just worn and scarred they do make silicon based oil treatment that will actually burn itself into the scars and scratches and restore the compression somewhat but, its only a bandaid. if your gonna pull it out and break it down you don't wanna just hone the cylinders you want to bore it. honeing is not gonna last if the cylinders are wore. the rings will not fit tight and will leave a gap. if you bore it put some new pistons and rings and bearings it will basically be a new block and it will noticeable by the way it runs. good luck ... sick

its a brand new motor, 427 with a fresh .030 over with less then 1000 miles on it...turns out i was running the wrong oil...i switched to a 20W-50 and i havent burned any...well none that can be noticed on the plugs, dip stick or smoke. strange
