Fuel in oilpan???

Default Fuel in oilpan???

i have an 86 IROC 305 carbeurated. mechanical fuel pump and i'm getting gas in the oil. any suggestions?

Your carburetor is running way rich, or your piston rings are fitting like slop. Is your engine a smoker?

it doesnt smoke a bit or use a drop of oil

Check the mechanical fuel pump for a leaky diaphragm, the fuel can dribble into the engine via the pushrod opening.

either because of the stock valve covers. They don't look like aftermarket Or maybe if you hear a ring you can turn the key on and let the fuel pump prime it self then start the car if its getting louder then i would definetly replace the fuel pump.
