So it's running worse everyday. Gutted the cat. A little difference but not much. EGR is black but orifices are clear.
Lots of back firing in exhaust and smells very rich. Rough idle and missing at all power ranges. so I've ran it some and maybe drove it 45 miles. Pulled the plugs. 4 of the insulator's are white, 1 looks tannish and 1 is soaking wet. This is after sitting for about 7 hours. These are rebuilt injectors that I just put in when I fixed the oil leaks. Is the one plug wet because the plug isn't firing or that the injector is dumping fuel all the time? Thats the question and why are the other insulator's nice and white. The grounding post shows signs of detonation but I would think I'd see some discoloration on the ceramic.
Hope someone can shed some light.

 

did you check for spark at all the plugs? lots going on so very hard to say what it is. test compression on the wet plug cylinder, how much blow by you getting?

 

Pull the wet plug. Install the plug in the wire and ground the plug, have someone crank the engine and see if it sparks. If it sparks its probably your injector.

 

I know this is 6 months old, but did you ever get it fixed up?
