Default Whats it gonna cost.

Hi all,
First off I am new to the forum, looks like a great site with lots of information. And now a little background and some questions. I am 18 years old and still living at home, I have a younger brother who will be turning 14 this July. Now for the questions. I want to work on a car with him before I move out of the house. I talked to him about it and this is what he came up with. He wants a 1995 Camaro with a 3.4 V6 and a 5 speed manuel tranny. My question is how much am I going to have to pay for a project 1995 camaro. I can do any engine/ mechanical work and I can paint the car, so I'm looking for one that needs engine work and a paint job, but the rest of the car is in decent shape. Will I be able to find one for a grand, how about under a grand??? Thanks so much for taking the time to read this post.

You should be able to find one for pretty cheap, but good luck finding something with a bad motor and exterior that still has a nice interior and stable transmission and drive line. Usually a car is either well taken car of or not, there isn't much middle.

Why a V6? Why not a Z28? If you want to find a car thats worth using as a project a grand isnt always gonna find you what your looking for. I can alot of the cars i want for a grand but it would be a HUGE project taking ALOT of time and money.
