RE: whats it gonna cost??
If you want fairly precise figures, go to the Ford website where you can "build" your Mustang complete with MSRP, build and equip it the way you want and add $500-$1,000 for the new Camaro price, that should be real close. It's hard to do a "ballpark" V-6/V-8 price when there are so many other options that can be added/deleted. As soon as someone posts an estimated price the wailing will start with some and others will be "it can't be that cheap". So build it like you want it and get your estimate from the Stang site.

RE: whats it gonna cost??
I hope and actually expect the aftermarket population to finally give camaro the support it deserves.
I hope that both the V8 and the V6 have the range of aftermarket bolt ons and accessories as they give to the Mustang Populace.
Im hoping a supercharged 3.9L and the 6.2L LS3 as the base V8 with an 7.0L LS7 for the Top Of the Line Model (which I hope is the Z28, Following the z06 trademark of the vette.. But Who Knows I really don't think one could ask for much more. Base Model V6 with a NA 3.9L producing about 235 horses for the CAMARO, Over 300 Horses for the Supercharged Sixer, 3.9L Which I hope is dubbed the CAMARO RS, 430 for the base V8 CAMARO Z28, and 505 horsepower for the CAMARO SS.
As for Price, It's a Camaro.. They've always been an Affordable Sports Car. And GM has Hinted that it will not be over priced.
I'd say a stripped down Base model CAMARO for 16 Grand, the Performance V6 CAMARO RS for 18-21 grand, 26-30K For the Z28, and 35-40 for the SS.

I would also guess that the Automatic transmissions will come with an optional sportronic shift mode, An Option for Independent Rear Suspension on the performance models, and Most likely 18 inch rims, Considering the Cadillac XLR sports 18 inch wheels and looks perfectly fine, I'd Like to see a staggered 18 front/ 19 rears, or perhaps they will keep the 19/20's that the concept has as an option.
I think the XLR resembles the new camaro in a way. So I dont think it would be unlikely to see similarities in the wheel size compared to how low they both are

I wonder about the Saleen hint that was dropped when we first saw bumblebee... Perhaps similar to a 97-02 SS Tuned to Steve Saleen's specs and i would imagine more like a 1LE model, Suspension upgrades.. Perhaps thats where the Independent Rear Suspension will come from in the aftermarket world
