These headers are off Pat's old turbo car, the teal monster that made around 650hp, the only one that ever had the t56 swap as well, so they're the best of the best from FFF, this is the only set they ever designed like this. My g-force t5 is from the guy that bought that t56. My ATI balancer is also from Tim King, the guy that built the 8 second v6 firebird. This whole build is a combination of parts from some stupid fast cars.

So the crank is at the shop now getting re-balanced for the ATI harmonic balancer, repairing the flange after my loose flywheel mishap, and some other stuff. This is the half way point, it's all assembly from here on out. I ordered a 7lb spring for the wastegate, mainly because I want to keep this thing really mild until all the hiccups are gone. Can't wait to have it running again. I think I put about 2000 miles on it this year so far, not even enough for an oil change, lol.

Track isn't closed yet It'll be racing in a couple weeks, I'm giving it my all to get it going.

Hit a snag though, went to put the crank in, and it had way too much lateral movement. Turns out the loose flywheel mashed the main bearing that controls that, so now I need new main bearings. Hope I can find some tomorrow, didn't expect this. The knocking flywheel just put stress on parts that shouldn't be happening. Then the insufficient harmonic balancer to boot.

that could be why it wouldnt go fast enough eh. lol. jk well that sucks, gona have to keep a close eye on that.

Crank is back in, and everything is all torqued down again. Time to roll the engine back over and finish the top end.

Going to be running a FWD l36 fuel rail, since according to my research has the same fuel pressure regulator as an L67, so boost-referenced FPR that won't die and cause a fire like the stock RWD one. Got some pre-made braided line and some adapters to let the fuel lines reach, all plug and play. Someday I'll replace the entire mess of factory fuel line with braided, and have a fuel cell. Not this year.

And I am running something I believe I'm the first to figure out. JP double roller timing set sprockets, and a new high quality Cloyes chain. The Rolon chain that came with this older (supposedly better) set stretched. Can't wait to see how this works

Engine is basically done, just need to put the oil pan on, and the headers. Just got done painting the headers flat black, they look insane in that color. Thursday I'd like to put the engine in. Long ways away from driving though, still need to swap the locker in the rear, buy the rest of the intercooler pipes, buy the stuff to ditch the ABS (in the way), and buy the v-band assembly for the turbo outlet (found out today it's precision-unique, dang).

Also toyed around with my alternator, eventually I'm going to put a manual steering rack in this thing, and when I do I'll put the alternator where the p/s is. It'll become the tensioner, and the entire tensioner assembly up top will go away, the front cover and LIM will get tapped for heater hoses. But that's next year.

And yeah, I know the w/p is the wrong color, lol, but I got it used. And I wasn't having any luck with getting paint to stick to that red anodized finish. Not gonna be able to see it very well anywho.

What kind of numbers do you think you'll pull on a dyno and the track? I'm thinking of a turbo set up sometime next year or the following year. Kinda waiting to see what results you get from yours.
