3.8 engine trouble

Any codes? Can you talk to the PCM at all? Anytime you have a intermittent short you have the chance of a voltage spike. Anytime you have a voltage spike it can damage anything with delicate electronics.
I accept with information: If it isn't VATS, check your ECM/PCM. Your ground problem might have caused its memory to go haywire, and it might just need to be re-flashed.

Ok thanks so much for all the input guys. I just realized that I unplugged the ignition wires at one point. If I disconnected them wrong would that not make it start?

did u plug them back in? check to make sure u didnt bend one of the plugin prongs or something like that. dont know that theres a wrong way to unplug the wire so long as u are not damaging the plugin or wires.

you said it has spark but does it have fuel? i no that sounds kind of stupid but no one has mentioned it.

Thats what I was assuming was that I had no fuel But I checked and had pressure

pick up a noid light for the injectors and see if they are being told to shoot fuel.
