3.8 engine trouble
So heres my story. I have a 1995 3.8 automatic camaro. The car died on the freeway and kept blowing the pcm fuse. I eventually found out that it was the MAF power wire grounding out but not till I had replaced the ignition switch(buddy was helping me out). Now it will crank over and has spark but won't fire up. I'm wondering if there is something I messed up with the ignition switch that I didn't connect right or something stupid like that. Thanks for the advice.
I thought the 3.8 wasn't until '96 and later... you sure it's not the 3.4?
Anyway, as far as your problem goes, it sounds like a VATS problem. When you change the ignition switch, you can't just use the key that came with it. You have to read the resistance of the pellet in your old key and have a locksmith (or the dealer, more expensive) cut a key with that old resistance but with the new key's teeth. If that resistance isn't right, the fuel pump won't engage.
Do you get a SECURITY light on the dashboard?

5% of the 95 V6 Camaros are 3.8. Just automatics.
Any codes? Can you talk to the PCM at all? Anytime you have a intermittent short you have the chance of a voltage spike. Anytime you have a voltage spike it can damage anything with delicate electronics.

If it isn't VATS, check your ECM/PCM. Your ground problem might have caused its memory to go haywire, and it might just need to be re-flashed.
have u checked all the fuses in the power box on the driver side wheel well. sounds like u are gona have to send the ecm in to be checked. i believe pcmforless can help u out.
