buddy of mine has a 1990 camaro(350ci/5.7L) and he had it rebuilt and a edlebrock carb was put back on it. It seems that whenever it starts running and you give it gas that it just dies but every now and then it will die idling. He just put a new fuel pump, regulator, and spark plugs(the kind with the 3 or 4 side electrodes) on it and it still does dies. What could this be?

 

Did he change the fuel filter? Could be timing or vacume leak - at least those are the first things I would look at.

 

ill have him do that but could he possibly have a bad regulator thats letting it get too much fuel. It smokes blue and im having him pull the plugs tomorrow to see if there wet.
