alright i got a 85 with a new 350 tpi crate motor. the guy didnt relace or touch then trans. it has 77000 miles on trans and yesterday my over drive just decided to start slipping. its my only way to work and school so i used drive all day and now my drive is almost gone to... and tips on y or does any one got a 700r4 theyd part with? cheap

 

I am in the same boat. I have a 700R4 but I think my pump is going out in it or the torque converter or something because it keeps making a ticking sound or a clatter. And I have the same problem. My 91 camaro is the only way to school which 100 miles a day give or take a few miles.Not to mention if I have to run around town or something. But I have the problem that I like to downshift too much. I am either going to do one of the three... Have my 700R4 rebuilt and have it beefed up and put a shift kit in it. Or, buy a beefed up 700R4. Or convert my car to a stick shift. Which would be time and money.

Ihave a 700r4 in DC/ northern VA. 100 Bucks and its yours, just come and get it.

 

Man if I had the money I'd hop on that deal. But I dont want an automatic now. I want a 5 speed stick. Although, I want to do it cheap also. That is a STEAL. Question is ... how many miles is on it ?
