Injector question

Default Injector question

As I started to reassemble my engine, I noticed that while changing the o-rings on the injectors, 2 of the plastic sleeves crumbled away. I tried to fing them online and looked at the local parts retailers. Do I really need them?

what plastic sleave? picture?

It fits around the injector just above the o-ring. It was very thin and brittle and as I was wiping the injector off with a rag before installation, It broke apart. I can't post pictures. I guess I am too new.

ah but you have 11 posts now so you should be able to. yes i beleive that piece holds the o ring in place in that spot for a reason. would be a good time to consider new injectors. you can get rebuilt ones that are pressure and flow tested for a good price from a good injector place. i have used a place called injector doctor. lol. should say on the injector what size they are. should be like 17 lbs/hour or 182cc/minute up to 24 lbs or 255cc. dont know what stock is for your yr.
