If you didn't do any internal mods or added forced induction, the stock injectors are just fine. Bigger injectors will not make more power, but cause you to get a PCM tune to get the right A/F ratio back. If your engine wants more fuel because of serious mods, then bigger injectors will help, but again, you will need a PCM tune to get the proper A/F ratio. One the best repalcement for a heavily modded engine are Ford 36 lb injectors, which fit right in the Chevy. To change injectors you will need to unbolt the fuel rail, and pull the whole rail and injector package away from the intake manifold. Disconnect the injectors from thr fuel rail, change them out, and put everything back using new "O" rings at the fuel rail and at the intake manifold.
Being the fact you asked about an aftermarket muffler,I'm assuming your car is stock. You don't need bigger injectors for a stock motor,it's just a waste of money.I have upgraded injectors on my 93 z28,but I also have complete intake, exhaust, aftermarket ignition, nitrous, etc etc,so for a highly modified engine, they are great, but for a stock motor, they are a big waste of time and money
