Default Some questions...

Hi everyone, I'm new here. Got a question for everyone. I bought a abandoned 92 camaro from a guy but he doesn't have the original keys. Now I was able to get a key that can fit the lock and ignition but the computer isn't recognizing the chip, aka the car won't turn on. What should I do? Any suggestions? Thanks

Bypassing the Vats system is easy if you know the resistance of the key. There are 15 options for resistors. If the dealer can not tell you which one you had then the process get a lot more complicated.

If the car has a dealer decal somewhere on it that is the dealer to call. Back in the day only the original dealer location had the info. Course that assumes they kept the info.

Check you tube on how to bypass the Vats system but without knowing which resistor you have you will need to start guessing,
