Default blower fan switch problem

i lost the high speed on the fan tonight, but all the other speeds are fine. does anyone know if it could be a resistor blew out, or would it more likely be the switch thats the problem

It's either the switch, or the number four wire on from the switch is bad. There wouldn't be a burnt resistor causing that, since the high setting is resistor free, and subsequently lower speeds are created by adding a resistor to the circuit per drop in speed.

You sure it isn't a vacuum leak causing the hiss and the floor duct not working? It's been a while, but if I remember correctly the 3rd gen F-Bodies used vacuum controlled ducting for the climate controll. You would do well to check that out, make sure the vacuum lines are on tight and in good shape.

I get that hiss once in a while. I just click the lever into the next closest position then back and foop! The blend air door closes and the hiss is gone.

junkyard would be the best bet. and if that cant wait, take the switch out and make it an on/off switch
