i have a 92 rs with a 305 tbi its an auto im wanting to convert it over to to standard would i need to switch over the computer? and if i do where can i find a used one cheap? is there any other types of vehicles i can use a comp and trans off of?

 

you shouldn't need to change it over, just so long as the 5 speed was made for a 90-92 camaro or firebird so that the vss works correctly. the computer wont need to be swapped, but it will run a bit rich. i would recomend getting a custom tune done by www.pcmforless.com so that it will run correctly. or if you happen to find a v8 donor such as an f-body or a pickup, you can grab the ecm and try it, it may work
