89 camaro only starts when choke light flashes on then goes off

Default 89 camaro only starts when choke light flashes on then goes off

89 camaro my car want start when choke light stays on.when it flashes on and then off it will start right up it has a 305 tbi lo3 motor thangs for any help

I missed your last question there, but yes it could be the alternator, or a related wiring issue, or the battery.

has new battery dont no nothing about checking wireing does it have a choke relay or heater. car will shut off when lights on when i pull the battery cable off

That means your alternator isn't putting out, or power from the alternator isn't making it to the battery. Do you have a volt meter? They're cheap to buy, and free with the right coupon at Harbor Freight. With engine running, check the power output at the alternator, you should have 14+ volts there. If you do, check power at the battery to see what voltage is or isn't coming in.
Btw, yanking the positive battery terminal was a good and easy way to check on old school cars, but on modern cars that have a lot of electronic controls or devices, doing that can cause a voltage spike without the battery connected to act like a buffer.

thanks but the car will start when the choke light comes on then goes off .if the light stays on car will not start it has a aftermarket distrubator also half to what may take 30 min or so of trying to make light come on then off

I don't know how to be more direct than I've already been, you have a charging system issue. The choke light isn't the problem, it's a symptom.

If you don't have one, pick up a test meter. Then....

my car want turn off with key had ignition switch checked good the people who checked it put a toggle switch to ignition fuse in fuse box to turn car off
