87' ignition cylinder

Default 87' ignition cylinder

I need to replace the ignition cylinder on my 87' camaro iroc-z, but i dont have the key. How do i get the cylinder out so i can put the new one in?

You could go to a real locksmith and get a key made, probably around $50. May even try a dealer, but they probably don't go that far back.

i never personally changed one myself but i know you have to get the pin out that holds the cylinder in there. btw, if this car has VATS, expect to pay something rediculous for the cylinder and have a lot of running around to do to get the right key made from the dealer. my 89 costed 50 just for the key with the resistor to be made at the 4th place i went to in order to find the key with the right resistor
