my budy has 1989 camaro rs 305 tbi with limited mods, headmen headers, three inch y pipe clean cat, flowmaster and air system removed what is his best case senario horsepower? and does anyone have an exact guess weight on the 89 rs stock?

 

Maybe 165-175 at the RW witha manual, 155-160 with an auto, but that's only a guess. As to weight. 3300 lbs would be my guess.

 

I believe the 92 305 was rated at 170 at the crank stock, so the 89 shouldn't be that much different. I would have to agree on whp numbers at sea level. That's the thing that sucks at this altitude (5000+ ft) is the power loss [:@]. As for the weight, it should be around 3300 dry weight. Let me see what I can find out.
