Tomato = Tomato. The GM service manual still calls it a backing plate with the caliper and drum like parking brake. It would be totally sane if parts were identified by only one name. Parts and service departments have had this issue since forever.

I bought these emblems from fbody warehouse. There used but no on makes a repop front emblem so I was fooling around Friday night and came up with this sort of fix. Follow along.

Yes the Bud is required. Name: 001-19-1.jpg

I used a pick to gently pry the face off the emblem. I went around the outside a few times to get the old glue broke up.Name: 005-20.jpg

Not real hard.Name: 007-17.jpg

Then for some paint marker. Name: 010-10.jpg

The recesses between the strips could have been cleaned up further and gone over with silver. I didn't because this is a rear emblem and it is repoped.Name: 017-6.jpg

Then some mothers on the rag and a little elbow grease. It brought back the shine. The pics don't do them justice. The front was pretty dull and crappy looking, I will totally put this one on the car. Name: 016-6.jpg

Next I'm going to try pulling a plane Camaro emblem apart and turning it into a Z emblem. Name: 020-5.jpg

Bud?!? Blarg!

NBL. I figured out that I'm a beer snob a while ago.

The emblems came out great, I will definitely keep that in mind. There is nothing like fixing something like that yourself, when buying new ones cost money.

Hey, I bought a cup wheel for my angle grinder, it made short work of the undercoating and the stuck on sound deadener. Floor looks really nice and solid though.

I was going buy a cup. IDK why I haven't. I have a stiff knotted end brush on my die grinder. It was working great, except it was slinging goop on my irreplaceable dash. Add to that I'm the new guy in my neighbor hood, my die grinder is LOUD and then there is the compressor.

The floors are one of the reasons I bought it, and the A pillar.

Steve, power tour is coming here June 9th. Toss the kids in the family truckster and come on up.

I'll buy. The bar up the street has beer from 30 countries. If you drink them all you get a plaque with your name on the wall.
