I hate when people do that. You feel like you need to use a friggin tape recorder just to keep them honest and at their word.
Even with that, he'd probably claim "that's not my voice".

Did you say anything at all? I try to stay professional. But if someone screws me over they usually hear about it. A couple doughnuts in the parking lot shooting rocks at the other cars wouldn't hurt either. I'm sure the last part would happen. I drive like a retard when I'm pissed. I'm a pretty good wheel man and haven't hurt anyone or any cars even but still. Smokey burnouts and power slides come out of me like diarrhea when I'm mad.

The thing about that is some innocent bysitters (customers) cars could get rock damage. Someone wouldn't want to do that to me, as a Louisville Slugger is much more effective than throwing stones!

Oh yes, I sad a lot, but I also tried to stay civil, and not let my irritation control what I said. I'm sure he knew I was unhappy, as I told him I was. I also told him I understood people being lazy and not protecting things, but didn't understand why anyone would take the efffort to remove the protection I put on the seats and floors and toss it to leave things exposed!
It friggin baffles me how their simple minds work.

Does it really baffle you though?

Yeah, it really does. Just can't visualize that thought (or lack of) process. I even asked the guy who does his cleanup why he'd let a car go out this way, or why he took the covers off, and just got a blank stare. Like nobody is home.

Went back by the paint shop today, as I forgot to get the leftover paint for touchup purposes. Guy who was supposed to clean it apologised for not getting it done, so that was a little better. Told the owner I was still not happy with the mess, and lack of cleanup, and he siad to bring it in Monday and they'd give the whole car a good cleaning and buffing while I wait. Think he's feeling a little guilty, and he knows I've steered a lot of work his way in the past. I've got one friend who spent $12,500 with him for a full inside/outside show paint job on his '40 Ford coupe, and several others that went there after my "good" experience 3 yrs. ago.
I need to get my pressure washer out and do the undercarriage before then, so I don't mess things up after the cleaning/buffing.

I agree where you stand being the guy who's car got hit. But the car is at the body shop where they will have to repair what ever damage is incured while under there care. That was my point. If i were on the other side where my car got hit by so idiot shooting stones well that wouldn't go well either. It's all reletive. I agree the Louisville is a great "tool". I have one behind the door of the the house. Front and back as well as one in the garage behind the door. Never know what kind of idiot will walk up into my yard to "see" what I have in the garage.

Only one problem with that theory. Most shops have disclaimers about damage or loss when you drop a car for repairs. So a rock throwing fit might make you feel better, but some other poor guy is going to get the short end of that deal.
But this shop isn't on a gravel lot or road, so there wont be any rocks anyway.
