My buddy with the LS Ram project almost got the Falcon around the corner from me. I wanted him to do it. They remind me of my Nova in a bad way. I have a itch to start with a high horsepower small car again. Those are easier than the Camaro. I care less about for and all function. I thought about a LS power extendeded cab S10 for a good bit. I bet I could build the whole thing on one years taxes if I used the 383 I have.

As for the Gasser, Val you know how I feel about those. Some day. Did you see the ****** on Fast and Loud? Or the '32 3 window for that matter. That '32 was cool, I wish they would have left the tunnel ram on it.

Yeah, as much as I can't stand that Richard Rawlings character I do watch the show, just to see how much money he'll lose each episode. The ****** was awesome! I couldn't believe someone was so out of touch that they let it go to him for $7k! The $25k he resold it for was much more in line with what they're worth.
I see the Falcon owner almost daily, and it's really starting to call me. I talked to him again yesterday, and now I'm not sure he's ready to part with it yet. His finances fluctuate a lot, so when he gets short on cash again, he may be ready to sell again, and I'll probably jump on it quickly then. He might even let it go a little cheaper if he gets tight on cash.

Stopped by the body shop yesterday to see what was up and drop off the 3 piece spoiler. We figured out what went wrong, and I have to take part of the blame. The donor roof section I cut off a mid 70's Firebird had some existing bondo in it, and I didn't know it. I stripped the edges back an inch or so to weld it to my roof, but never got far enough into the patch to see it had the bondo. It had a pretty good dent under that bubble, and somebody put a fair amount of filler in it. Under the dent was a weird point sticking up, like a spot weld from a dent puller. No sign of them grinding it off, just broken off short. Pretty sure that was the cause of the bubble, and maybe even further enhanced by the heat from welding near it.
I'll do the right thing and kick in some cash to help him with the repair, as I have to take some responsibility for my part in it going bad.

Your too generous. I would keep my mouth shut until he asked.

As for the Rich guy I agree. He's a drunk and it shows. Plus the annoying personality. He stole every car on there. I want to start my own shop watching him. The 25k Vette was ridiculous. Its the way they do their cars that loses money. They go through all the work on that '32 then toss the skinniest tire ever on the back. I liked it the way they got it. They Lincoln was OK but if they would have thought about the cost of using too big of wheel they would have saved on the build. Then made money on the sell. I also wouldn't ever buy a car built in two weeks. I guarantee there is at least 10 aww "F" it moments on every one of them. Where they sacrifice something for time. I did buy a tee shirt though

Good luck on your car. Will you sell the Austin then, if you start a new project?

No, the Austin is here to stay, regardless of what project I build in the future. I know you might not agree, but I'd sell the '71 Camaro before I sell the Austin. The Austin is much more fun, and faster too; plus fits in the garage better!

Well its your car. I just would hate for you to regret it. I always hear my dad complain about the cars he let go for one reason or another. I know your much older too. Meaning you have had your fun with it and now coming into your last 20yrs you would like to do as much as you can.

LOL! You beat me to it! With my 62nd b'day coming next week, I was wondering how many more years I had? I need to start planning my bucket list!

I didn't mean it like that. I'm sure you know that. I just mean your not gonna live another 62 yrs. The men in my family are all dead by 62. Really! My gramps has the record at 67. My uncles are all gone in their late 50's. My dad turned 59 on the 10th. He smokes like a chimney and works in the polishing business. Meaning he has more aluminum in his lungs then i do on my car. I pray he sees my boys grow up but I have to prepair myself for that reality of him not.

I wasn't implying you make a bucket list nor was I wanting to trigger you to start thinking about your own mortality. I turned 35 last week or so ago. I figure I'm half done and will never see retirement bliss like you are enjoying. Remember I'm inheriting a 14 trillion dollar bill. I'll have to work forever when they revoke SSI.

Well keep paying into that SSI! I'll start drawing next week, so I need you to keep money going into my car fund!
