Taking it in this week supposedly. He told me he'd have room when I got back from my hunt.

Kill anything? My boss just got back from Missouri yesterday. he got an Elk. When I asked if it tasted good he gagged. I guess they taste like sage and poop. Even the carcass stunk. But it was all for a trophy. Wish I had money.

LOL He told me he cut the back straps out and marinated them and wrapped them in bacon. He said the meat even made the bacon taste bad. Now I really don't want to try any.

Yeah Damon, I got a nice average sized buck. It's at the processor now getting steaks and pepperoni made.
Not sure what your boss shot that tasted bad in an elk? Elk around here are the finest eating game animals I've ever eaten. As close to beef as any wild game could ever be. I've got an elk draw tag for Nov. in a great area of NE Oregon, and looking forward to filling the freezer with elk meat! Haven't had any for several years!

No crap. Although people are probably knocking on his door now that summer is over. Time for a new spray job while snow flies.

He tells me he's usually busier in the summer than winter. Most other shops are the reverse. I think he's busy all year long, and he's just more inclined to take in more paying work than my warranty work.

We'll see. Going to drive it over today, rather than just stop and ask. We'll see if having the car there makes any difference.
