Yeah, Placer Gold was actually more green than the #43 Lime Green that my car was. Mike's looks like Placer to me too, but pictures often have off color tinting, so hard to tell.

Vall I have to chime in here too and say that I really enjoy all your project threads. I shared the Austin thread with my bodyman Joe and he just loved it. You guys would get along great. He's been hangin out with gearheads his entire 28 years and there is nothing he can't fabricate from an idea.

Thanks for the pics and tip! bought the 1/2 inch allthread and nuts , washers from Lowes for 2 bucks. I had given up last weekend trying to get my lower control arms in. Now installed and front end finished.

 

Got a huge surprise yesterday when I did my monthly startup and run on the car. Removed the car cover and found a big old bad spot in the paint on the roof! A huge bubble with cracks around it! To say I was sick would be an understatement. I'm guessing it was from heat, but we've had very few days in the 90's, and it shouldn't have failed.
I'm taking it back to the shop that did the work, and see what he says. It's been nearly 3 years, so might not get it fixed free, but he did say, "I'd guarantee this job for 20 yrs. if it's not parked outdoors." Guess I'll see how good his word is.
