So today's excuse is that three of his guys thought it was a holiday and didn't come in! So now it's supposed to be Wednesday. What a flake.

FINALLY the shop called and the Camaro is in! Supposed to repair the roof tomorrow, and then it gets shot on Monday. I'm taking my spare 3 piece spoiler down there tomorrow, and will have him shoot it also, so I have the option of replacing the one piece later if I choose to. Had 4 studs that were missing or stripped on the 3 piece, so I ran a tap in the holes and then JB Welded the new studs in place. Once they setup over night, I'll cut the heads off and it will be ready for paint.
Got offered a '63 Falcon Futura 2 dr. today that is really straight. Neighbor lost his storage space after 20 yrs. and it's outside now. I've only owned one Ford in my life, but it might make a cool hotrod with a big block Chevy, and a 4 or 5 speed stick! Couldn't drive it as it is with a inline 6 cyl., 3 spd.!!!
And no, I'm not trading the Camaro for it! He wants $600 to buy it. I'm thinking something along the lines of this Falcon gasser:

Yeah, hopefully it wont just sit in a corner. I'll be stopping by on Sat. and again Monday, as it's only a few blocks away. Actually I'll be dropping the spoiler off this afternoon, so will see if they started on it.
I put down paper mats, and an old sheet on the seat to try and keep things cleaner than what they usually are at a body shop. Every time I have body/paint work done it takes me a week to get everything back to normal again! He told me they'll bag the car and cut the top of the bag out to try and keep the rest clean.

Hope everything works out good for you getting that done with the body shop. Sounds like you've had a bit of my kind of luck! Just had to mention that if the Falcon deal works out for you (2nd Ford of 200th) it never feels right driving one. I have an F150 for my winter skid, my 3rd Ford and even though I love this particular body style, it'll always be a Ford. I've done a lot to make it look and drive good and I actually get compliments almost daily on how good it looks for a '97 with 208k I just can't get myself to enjoy driving it. I like your idea of what to do with the Falcon though. With that kind of conversion it would be easier to look past the badging...

Again, good luck with the body shop - "the squeaky wheel gets the oil!"

Yeah, that's my main concern. Being a lifetime Chevy guy I'd always wonder if people thought "there's another Ford guy" whenever you drive it. Of course the Ford guys would know right away you're not one of them when they saw a BBC engine. No Ford guy would ever make that change!

It's a strange feeling when the Chevy's pull up beside me and I get that "look" when I'm driving my truck. I need a "Don't be Hatin' man, I'm a Chevy fan" bumper sticker or something cheesy like that . It must be killin' the Ford guys to see so many showing up at racetracks with a SBC/BBC under the hood.

Yeah, I have Chevy stickers on the sides of my Hilborn scoop on the Austin gasser, plus 327 emblems on the sides of the hood, Chevy floor mats, and an oldtime sticker on the dash that reads, "We use genuine Chevrolet Parts". Can't have enough things to let everyone know I bleed Chevy!
