Default replace ignition cylinder

Does anyone know how to change the ignition cylinder in a 2011 camaro (manual transmission). I can order a cylinder but im not sure how to change it out without disrupting the electronics. I also have to make the cylinder fit the key.

has anyone done this? A step by step guide would be helpful but I will take any advice.

You have a new car which is probably still under warranty, why do you want to change the lock cylinder.

I left the car for 20 minutes unlocked and someone came by and tried to start the ignition with a screw driver. The result is that the cylinder thinks the key is in it all the time. I can still start the car and it works fine but remote entry system won't work as long as it thinks the key is in the ignition. Its not a huge problem but not covered by warranty and if I can fix it myself I would like to try. Any ideas?
