Trying to put a 79 back together.

New turn signal switch in steering column.

Hazards work fine.

Turn signals do not.

All fuses are good.

Out of back of turn signal relay are three wires. 2 pink and one purple. If I splice in 12 volts on purple... the turn signal lights come on with the turn signal lever...but don't not flash.

RRelay is also new.

Anyone know what I'm missing?

does the 79 have separate flashers for four ways and blinkers.

 

Yes.

i believe the hazard blinker relay is the one in the fuse panel while the turn signal relay is wired in the harness near the fuse panel.

I have replaced both.

 

best to find a factory service manual.
